JULY 3: Through the efforts of The American Legion and the public spirited citizens of Richwood and vicinity we now have protection at Lake Baccarat. Mr. O. M. Fogle has been employed as life guard and is also special police of the village.

JULY 3: J. J. Dungan has sold his farm of 307 acres south of Richwood to C. W. Patterson. Mr. Dungan received an 84-acre farm near Essex in the transaction and traded this farm to John Haines for the latter’s 60-acre farm near Claiborne cemetery. Mr. Haines has sold a half interest in the 84 acres to Dallas Sullivan.
