Crusey selected for scholarship oppurtunity in Taiwan

A Richwood native and Bowling Green State University student will expand their education through experiential learning in Taiwan after being selected as one of roughly 500 college students nationwide for a prestigious Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) from the U.S. Department of State.

BGSU senior Emma Crusey is set to spend most of her summer in New Taipei, Taiwan, continuing her Chinese language studies as a CLS scholar. Crusey, a computer science major with minors in Chinese and Spanish, is one of just three students from BGSU ever to win the highly competitive scholarship, the first since 2008 and the first to study Chinese.
