Loomis tapped as new girls basketball head coach for 2024-25 winter season

A change in the head coaching position of the North Union girls basketball program will not be as big a change as it might be in other programs.

Bre Jackson recently announced she was stepping down as the Lady Cats’ coach to take a position within Dublin City Schools system.

Pending board approval later this month, Mitchell Loomis has been hired to succeed Jackson.

The past two years Loomis was the boys junior varsity basketball coach and prior to that was the girls seventh-grade coach at North Union Middle …
