County Law Enforcement Memorial set for tonight

This information was submitted by the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

– The community is invited to attend the “In the Line of Duty” Union County Law Enforcement Memorial tonight at 7 p.m. at the north lawn of the Union County Courthouse and Justice Center, 221 W. Fifth St., Marysville.

The Union County Law Enforcement Memorial is a tribute to those who serve in the line of duty, and a reminder of this sacrifice is the statue that stands at the site of the ceremony: a peace officer kneeling with a folded American flag mourning the loss of his comrades.

The Union County Law Enforcement Memorial precedes National Police Week, which is Sunday, May 12 to Saturday, May 18, held annually in May.Read this entire article as it appeared in print in our eEdition
