NU takes runner-up in Mount Gilead Co-ed Relays

North Union finished second in Mount Gilead Co-Ed Relays last week at Mount Gilead.
The Wildcats totaled 50 points with Mount Gilead in first place with 56 points.
Earning first-place finishes were:
Long jump—86 feet, 10.25 inches (Bradeon Scowden, Jaxon Heminger, Tristan Grenlee, Gabby Lindsey, Jessanie Pfister, Riley Heminger)
High jump—27-8 (Scowden, Max Leavitt, Xavier Gruber, Stella Hancock, Lily Leavitt, Kennedy Ludwig)
Medley relay—12:41.4 (Ludwig, Savannah Amstutz, Zach Meyer, Tyler Huff)
Sprint medley—1:47.13 (Rylan Riffle, Riley Heminger, Nick VanHoose, Carter Skaggs)
In the middle school meet, North Union also was second with 37 points. Mount Gilead won the meet with 44 points.
Placing first for the Wildcats were:
Discus—425-8 (Andi McElroy, Lily Hall, Kellyn Ufferman, Broden O’Reilly, Will Jones, Calden Carey)
Shuttle hurdles—1:21.89 (Zoni Robinson, Dylan Asher, Hall, Zaim Habib)
4×200—1:54.5 (Katelyn Vine, Paisley Jordan, Mason Andrews, Jack Kemp)
Sprint medley—1:58.37 (Reeslyn Riffle, Glory Blevins, Andrews, Kemp)
