Lady Cats split softball double-header against Utica

North Union split a softball doubleheader against Utica last Saturday at North Union.
Utica scored a run in the top of the eighth inning to earn a 7-6 victory.
The Lady Cats (8-8) rebounded in the second game with a 5-4 win.
Kailin McElroy had four singles for North Union in the opener while Emma Padovano had a single and triple and Rylee Fox and Kale Keigley had two singles each. Ryleigh Rasey doubled and Emma McElroy singled.
All the runs in the second game were scored in the first three innings.
Utica led 4-2 going into the bottom of the third but North Union rallied with three markers to take the lead.
Reese DeCamp, Kennedy Harrah and Keigley each had a double. DeCamp added a pair of singles.
Brenna Martino pitched into the fifth inning to get the victory. DeCamp finished the game to earn the save,
