Richwood Civic Center

By Susie Pfarr, Executive Director

We have one group that went to Branson and another group goes here soon. We have a trip scheduled to the Biltmore Estates in North Carolina for Sept. 23 through the 26th. Come join us for a full day at the Biltmore Estate and Gardens, including Antler Village and Winery. The next day we will be experiencing a guided tour of downtown Asheville, including the St. Lawrence Basilica and the Blue Ridge Parkway. While on the Parkway, we will stop at the Visitor Center for a high-definition movie and visit the famous Folk Art Center.

The cost is $650 for members which includes transportation, hotel rooms, admission to all destinations, three breakfasts and three dinner meals and all tips. This is for double-occupied rooms. Nonmembers’ price is $675.

To register, please call 740-943-2310. A $75 nonrefundable deposit is due at registration. The last day to register is May 15, as long as the trip is not full before that date. All checks need to be made out to Richwood Civic Center.

“Ruth” at the Ohio Star Theatre in Sugar Creek

The trip is scheduled for July 17, leaving from NU Middle School at 8:45 a.m., returning by approximately 7:30 p.m. The cost is $120 and includes motorcoach transportation, buffet lunch, tickets to see the play, and all tips. We will be eating at a fast-food restaurant on the way home. That cost is extra. A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot. First come, first served up to 54 people.

Mark your calendar for May 4. Come see us at the Magnetic Springs Resource Fair starting at 11 a.m. at the Magnetic Springs Community Center & Park. Learn about organizations available to you in Union County.
