NUMS girls track team takes second, boys take third in Triad Invitational

The North Union Middle School track team finished second in the girls meet and third in the boys meet in the Triad Invitational last Saturday.

The Lady Cats totaled 84 points to finish five markers behind meet champion West Liberty Salem.

North Union took first place in a pair of relay events and Glory Blevins had two individual victories.

The 4×800 team of Samantha Price, Kellyn Ufferman, Tinlee Martino and Chloe McElroy had a winning time of 11:30.49 while Adalee Hunt, Rylee Horne, Price and Lyra Wigglesworth had a winning time in the 4×400 of 5:02.93.

Blevins posted wins in the high jump (4-6) and long jump (14-10.75).
