A pair of leaplings born at Memorial Hospital

 

The chance of being born on Feb. 29, Leap Day, is 1-in-1,461. The 4.8 million “leaplings” around the world who were born on Leap Day, their actual birthday only comes around once every four years. The early morning of Leap Day 2024 was celebrated with the arrival of two new “leaplings” at the Memorial Miracle Life Center. Pictured above, is Jazzlyn Mae Boggs, daughter of Kristie Major and Troy Boggs of Urbana. Jazzlyn arrived at 7:13 a.m., at a weight of 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and 20 inches in length. She joins two older sisters. Below is Osiris Ace Brooks, the new son of Brooklyn Hill and Willie Brooks of Marysville. He was born at 8:41 a.m., weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 19 inches in length.
