Lady Cats overtake Heath, come up short against Granville in district final

North Union’s girls basketball program ended its season last week following a win against Heath and a district final loss against Granville respectively.

Lady Cats top Heath For a second straight year, North Union was one step away from reaching the top rung of the Division II Central District tournament.

The Lady Cats earned the return trip last week with a 54-41 victory over Heath at Highland High School.

It got a little rugged at times because of turnovers, But when the offense was clicking, NU Head Coach Bre Jackson was able to see what her team could do.
