NUMS girls hoops collect four straight wins

The North Union Middle School girls basketball teams played recently on back-to back nights and came away with four victories.

Last week, the seventh-grade team won 21-20 and the eighth-grade squad posted a 44-19 victory.

Sam Price led the Lady Cat seventh-graders with seven points while Leah Cox totaled 20 points for the eighth-grade team.

The Jan. 25 matchup was against Tecumseh.

Led by 12 points from Chloe McElroy, the seventh-grade team (10-2) won 32-22.

Getting 15 points from Cox and 10 points from Glory Blevins, the eighth-grade team (14-0) won 34-27.

The boys teams played Tecumseh last Thursday with Tecumseh winning both games.

The seventh-grade team (10-2)lost 32-29.

Alex Joseph, Ben Newell and Hayden Young each had six points for the Wildcats.

The eighth-grade squad (0-12) lost 50-22

Breyvn Martino had 12 points for the Wildcats.
