North Union grapplers compete, place in annual Don Wasserbeck Classic

Their feelings were at different ends of the spectrum, but North Union seniors Zack Ellis and Tyler Cline were proud of their efforts last Saturday at Don Wasserbeck Classic.

“This was my last time to wrestle at home,” Ellis said. “I wanted to place as high as I could and make people proud.”

“It was my last home tournament, and our community came out to watch,” Cline said. “It was upsetting how my last match ended, but I will use it to get better.”

Ellis’ final match at home was an exciting one as he defeated Carter Buck of Benjamin Logan 7-6 in overtime to finish third in the 120-pound division.
