Richardson named to tax review committee

A group of Ohio legislators have been appointed to a committee to review property tax law in the state.

As values have increased dramatically over the last few years, legislators have pushed to redo how those values are calculated.

Rep. Tracy Richardson will be among the group of 10 members of the state group looking to review and reform the law.

Union County alone saw more than 23% in increases to residential parcels in 2022 and some counties have seen increases in the 40% range over the last year.
