NU grapplers compete in first matches of the season

There is always a little excitement and nervousness to start a season, no matter the sport that is being played.

Being able to open a season at a familiar place will help ease some of the nervous feeling.

For the past few years North Union has opened its wrestling season on the home mats with the North Union scramble.

Not only were there high school matches but middle school grapplers join their older brethren on the opening night.

“We are able to bring the high school and middle school wrestlers together for one night,” North Union Head Coach Garret Andrews said.
