New parking set

The Village of Richwood will get some new parking in the downtown but not all officials agree it’s the right time to buy the land.

At last week’s regular meeting, council members voted 4-2 to authorize the purchase of four parcels of land on South Franklin Street that the village would use for a public parking lot.

Officials have been looking at the lot as an option to expand parking in the downtown area, as that has been a topic of concern for some residents.
