NU runners claim postseason awards

With the ending of the 2023 cross country season, several North Union athletes claimed postseason conference awards.

For the boys’ team, North Union’s Tyler Huff was named the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division’s Runner of the Year. The senior Wildcat placed first at the conference meet for the Mad River Division with a time of 16:52.3.

Huff also took home First-Team All-CBC honors.

Freshmen Zach Myers and Felix Plouck each were named to the All-CBC Second-Team. Meyer also claimed a Sportsmanship Award.

In the girls’ program, junior Lauren Hall and freshman Kailin McElroy claimed First-Team All-CBC accolades.

Freshman Kennedy Ludwig received a Second-Team All-CBC award.

Corajayne DeBoer was honored with a Sportsmanship Award for the 2023 season.
