Track and field state tournament goes to Welcome Stadium in 2024

The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced on Monday the 2024 track and field championships will be held May 31 and June 1 at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium.

Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University has been site for the championships since 2004, except for 2020, which was cancelled because of COVID-19 and 2021, also because of COVID restrictions.

Beginning in May, the track at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium will be removed and replaced with a new track that will take several months to complete.
