OCTOBER 5, 1923

Richwood High School defeated Woodstock thirty four to fifteen as the two schools clashed in the opening game of the ’23 schedule. Careless play was evident on the part of the local team during the fist quarter when Woodstock held hem scoreless for nearly half the period and made a touch down on short passes over half backs Whitehead and Schertzer. A spectacular run of ninety yards returning the ball from Richwood’s kick off formation for a touch down was made by Hildreth a few minutes afterward.
