Last weekend my family and I went to the annual Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, West Virginia (for more on that, see my columns in the Journal-Tribune). It’s something we do every year and use the time to yes, go to the festival, but also explore the places our family is from.
Long before the annual festival, we visited the little towns along the Ohio River, either to visit with family or explore the little shops and restaurants.
Although we always visit Pomeroy, Ohio (just across the Ohio River from Point) Pleasant), we recently incorporated it into the annual stop. Aside from having fun shops and a great riverfront view, the town has a small coffee shop called River Roasters with good coffee and even better food.
