Township officials hold speaker series

A local venue opened its doors to the Union County Township Officials Association for the group’s recent speaker series.

Officials gathered at Bokes Creek Winery in York Township to hear information on a variety of things including a talk by Pete Griggs, from Brosius Johnson and Griggs, an expert in township law. He provided an informative and interactive session on derelict structures, junk vehicles, and abandoned houses, and the statutory abilities townships possess to deal with nuisances. Kim Arnold, President of KLA Consulting, was the second keynote speaker and gave a presentation on risk management for townships.
