AUGUST 10, 1923

Richwood and community will pay a last loving tribute to the memory of her beloved friend and neighbor Warren G. Harding. The committee in charge have arranged the program for a fitting memorial service to be held at the hour at which services for the late present will be held in his home city. Every business place in Richwood will be closed at noon for the remainder of the day. Business will virtually be at a stand still as it will all over the country, thus permitting the sadden citizenry to express, in a measure, tis love and admiration for the man who gave up his life while acting as the country’s chief executive.
