Opera House Committee settles on recommendation

Members of the Richwood Opera House Committee have a recommendation to make to council next week.

After a nearly three-hour meeting last week, committee members landed on the specifics of their recommendation to save the building, which they plan to present to council at the next regular session on July 24.

The committee, formed in 2020, was tasked with assessing the feasibility of restoring or reclaiming the historic building and after much discussion, the committee wants to proceed with saving it.
