Richwood Cardinal says goodbye to community
Jim and Denise Luscaleet and their three daughters walked around the Richwood Cardinal store last week reminscing about the thirty-one years they spent in and out of their grocery store, helping customers in the community. Tuesday, Auctioneer Johnny Regula sold coolers, stoves, fixtures and other items in the store to the highest bidders. As one door closes, another one opens. Luscaleets sold the building to Brad and Valarie Plotner, where Plotner Hardware will relocate to 365 E. Blagrove Street. (photo by Sherryl Sheets)

Gene Klaiber, left, owner of Gene’s Body Shop, has decided to retire and close the auto body business on E. Blagrove Street. Standing next to Klaiber are Joe North, center and Chris Gamble, employees. The doors will close at the end of the day on Friday, Oct. 31. Klaiber has been in the auto body business for over 45 years and he and his wife, Eva, will enjoy spending time with their family and traveling. (photo by Sherryl Sheets)
