East Bomford Street is smooth as silk
Residents in Richwood are pleased to see that E. Bomford Street is open again for traffic. After a few months of replacing water, sewer and storm lines and laterals, Shelly Corporation came in town Saturday and laid a new asphalt surface with curbs and sidewalks. Village officials are pleased with the grant funds they have received the last few years, which has provided some new streets, improved the water and sewer system in the village. Fire Chief Jim Hall is getting ready to hang up his “chief’s” hat and still remain a volunteer firefighter with the Leesburg Township Fire Department. He recently announced his retirement from the chief’s job, hoping someone will step into the position soon. He will stay on as chief until someone is hired. He’s enjoyed serving Leesburg Township for over 50 years and will continue for several more. (Photo by Sherryl Sheets)
