Slushy road conditions cause accident
Weather conditions continue to cause havoc on roads, while drivers contend with ice and slushy situations. Last Wednesday morning, Jean Carmean, 46, of 26818 Claibourne Road, was traveling eastbound on Bethlehem-Claibourne Road. She hit a slushy spot, went left of center and into a deep, muddy ditch on the left side of the road. She rolled her 2005 Saturn station wagon three to four times, resting on the vehicle’s wheels, facing westbound. Northern Union County EMTs responded, but Carmean was uninjured. No citations were issued by the Union County Sheriff’s deputy.
