Richwood Bank opens new operations center
The Richwood Banking Company board of trustees and staff welcomed the public to view their new operations building and call center Friday afternoon. The new two-story addition is housed at 24 E. Blagrove Street, directly behind the main office. The facility houses 24 offices, a board room, training room, human resources department, IT, marketing and a call center which will serve as a hub for customer calls. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held by board members, staff and village and county officials. Two story house on Grove Street destroyed
Northern Union County Fire and EMS District responded to a house fire at 253 Grove Street on Wednesday, April 9, at approximately 7 p.m. The fire began in the back porch with an electric heater. No one was home at the time, but two of the family‚Äôs dogs were outside and one still inside during the fire, which was safely retrieved. Other fire departments responding at the scene include Leesburg Township, Liberty Township, Mt. Victory, Battle Run, Delaware medics, Marysville Fire, Union County Sheriff, Union County Red Cross, Union County Emergency Management Agency and 1-800 Board Up also responded to help the family. Crews were called back to the scene in the night as the fire rekindled. (photo by Sherryl Sheets)
